Hyderabad, April 26 (PMI): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has stated that the Telangana government accorded top priority to education, healthcare and employment opportunities and women, farmers and youth are the main partners in the government.
Addressing the Plenary Session at the Bharat Summit 2025 at HICC here on Saturday, the Chief Minister stated that the State government’s policy is to generate more revenues and distribute the wealth to the poor.
“The government is transparent and proactive in introducing reforms. Gig, App workers welfare policy will be introduced soon,” he said.
The Chief Minister said the State government introduced the biggest welfare schemes in the history of India and waived off Rs 20,617 crore farm loans of 25.50 lakh farmers on August 15, 2024, stating that Telangana farmers were freed from the mounting debt burden on Independence day.
“Telangana is blessed with wonderful women entrepreneurs. Some women formed self-help groups with 67 lakh members. Our goal is to promote one crore women as Millionaires. Women groups are establishing solar power plants, owned electric RTC buses and petrol pumps in the state,” Revanth Reddy said.
He further stated that the State power distribution companies entered agreements with Women groups to purchase 1,000 MW of solar power.
“Women are running 600 buses and competing with corporate transport agencies. Telangana women entrepreneurs are competing with big corporate companies like Adani and Ambani in running solar plants and EV buses,” the Chief Minister said.
Revanth Reddy said the State government has envisaged plans to free Hyderabad from pollution by reviving the Musi river and studied the development of rivers and riverbanks in many cities, including the Hudson River in New York, Thames River in London, and Sumida in Tokyo.
“The Musi river will become a major tourist spot and the Musi rejuvenation project will also provide employment to thousands of people in the days to come,” he said.
The Chief Minister said the Telangana delegation attended the investment conferences held in Davos, America, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore and received more than Rs. 2.5 lakh crores of investments to provide jobs to the youth in the private sector.
“The People’s government has started a lot of welfare and development programmes and there is still a lot to be done. Inviting all the delegates to join our mission to bring a change in the lives of people. I further appeal to all the delegates to share their experiences, knowledge and skills with the State government and become the “Telangana Rising” brand ambassadors, showing the greatness of Telangana to the world,” Revanth Reddy added.(PMI)
