Lucknow, August 9 (PMI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday alleged that social media has increasingly become a platform for conspiracies against India, with what he described as anti-India forces using it to spread rumours and mislead people.
Addressing the inaugural programme of the ‘Kakori Train Action Centenary Celebrations’ in Kakori, Adityanath said efforts had been made to prevent the younger generation from taking pride in the sacrifices and contributions of India’s revolutionaries.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also alleged that after Independence, several institutions were named after members of “one khandaan”, in an apparent reference to the Nehru-Gandhi family.
He said the situation had changed since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, with greater recognition being given to freedom fighters and revolutionaries who, according to him, had not received their due place in history.
Adityanath urged people, particularly the younger generation, to learn about the country’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices made by revolutionaries. (pressmediaofindia.com)
