Somesh Kumar appointed as Chief Advisor to CM KCR

Hyderabad, May 9 (PMI): Former chief secretary Somesh Kumar has been appointed as Chief Advisor to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The State government on Tuesday issued a G.O in this regard, appointing Somesh Kumar  as Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister in the rank of a Cabinet Minister for a period of three years.

The 1989 batch bureaucrat had worked as the chief secretary of Telangana State from December, 2019 to January 2023. Somesh Kumar was forced to step down from the post after the High Court issued an order, asking the BRS government to relieve him and send him to Andhra Pradesh. Though Somesh Kumar had reported for duty in Andhra Pradesh after being relieved from here, he applied for VRS later. (PMI)
