Chhattisgarh’Feb 9 (PMI) It is undeniable that the banned Maoists have indeed suffered a fatal blow. In recent times, the central forces have intensified their campaign to eliminate the Maoists. In this sequence, dozens of Maoists are dying in the encounters that have been taking place in recent times. In the latest major encounter that took place on Sunday, 31 Maoists were killed. Two policemen belonging to the central forces were also killed in this incident. It has been said that a total of 33 people were killed in this incident.

In Chhattisgarh, an exchange of fire took place between Maoists and security forces in the early hours of Sunday morning. 31 Maoists were killed in this firing that took place in the forests of Indravati National Park under Bijapur district. The death of so many people in a single encounter should be considered a fatal blow to the Maoists. Previously, a maximum of 40 Maoists were killed in a single encounter. This is the second biggest loss for the party as 31 Maoists were killed in the latest encounter.

Meanwhile.. The security forces also suffered moderate losses in this counter-fire. Two policemen were also killed in the Maoist firing. Some more policemen were injured. Many of them are reported to be seriously injured. They were rushed to nearby hospitals. This brings the total number of deaths in this firing to 33. Security forces are searching for Maoists there after the firing. It is reported that the death toll is likely to rise further.(PMI)
