HYDERABAD’08 April 2024: Former Bodhan MLA Shakil Aamir’s son Raheel Aamir was apprehended by Hyderabad city police at Shamshabad airport on Monday. Raheel, who reportedly fled to Dubai after the accident, was apprehended by Punjagutta police this morning at Hyderabad airport. Raheel Aamir had been on the run since allegedly fleeing police custody after being involved in an accident near Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Begumpet on December 24, 2023. According to police, he was allegedly drunk driving when he crashed a luxury car into the barricade near Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Begumpet, Hyderabad. Police had also issued a lookout notice for him. Raheel purportedly attempted to avoid legal repercussions by falsely claiming that someone else was driving, despite being behind the wheel during the incident.
