Newlywed Bride Watches Her Henna-Stained Hands, While the Groom Leaves for the Border Immediately After Wedding

Rajgarh’May 10: The groom and bride’s henna was still fresh when the wedding rituals were completed. The garland and wedding vows ceremony took place on Thursday, and by Friday, the groom left the wedding celebrations and headed to the border for duty. As soon as Indian Air Force soldier Mohit Rathore’s leave was canceled due to heightened India-Pakistan tensions, he received orders to join duty on Saturday. Mohit said that while he had just gotten married, serving the nation was more important and this duty was even greater than the wedding itself.

It’s important to note that following the Pulwama attack, India conducted operations against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan, leading to increased tensions between the two countries. Pakistan has been targeting Indian cities along the border, continuously shelling residential areas. In response, India has also been taking action. The Indian government and military are on high alert. Due to the war-like situation, all soldiers’ leaves have been canceled and they have been called back to duty.

Two Days Off for the Wedding

Mohit Rathore, a soldier in the Indian Air Force from Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, was on leave for his wedding. He had leave from April 17 to May 15, but due to the India-Pakistan tensions, his leave was canceled on Wednesday, and he was ordered to rejoin duty by Friday. After informing them of his wedding on Thursday, he was instructed to join duty by Saturday.

Joined Duty Immediately After the Wedding

Mohit, originally from Korawar, joined the Air Force six years ago and is currently stationed at the Ispore Air Force Station near Delhi. He married Vandana, daughter of Gopal Rathore, from Lusodalia Ramnath. Mohit took the seven vows on Thursday, May 8, and brought his bride home. The very next day, Friday, he immediately began preparing for his departure, as the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan led to the cancellation of all soldiers’ leaves.

“For Us, the Country Comes First” – Father-in-Law

Mohit’s father-in-law, Gopal Rathore, said, “I am proud that my son-in-law is going to serve the country immediately after the wedding. For us, the country comes first, and we had decided not to tell our daughter this until the wedding was complete.” Mohit’s parents are also proud that their son is returning to serve the nation and prayed for the safety of both the country and their son.

War-Like Situation Between India and Pakistan

As you may know, the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, killed 26 innocent tourists, causing nationwide outrage. On May 7, the Indian government launched Operation Sundar, destroying terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. Since then, tensions between India and Pakistan have been escalating. In this situation, leaves of personnel working in various armed forces have been canceled, and they have been called back to duty, including Mohit Rathore from Rajgarh.
