Hyderabad ‘Nov 23 (PMINEWS) The Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) police have arrested a couple, Vuppalapati Satish Kumar and his wife Shilpa Banda, for allegedly cheating multiple investors of ₹23 crore through a fraudulent investment scheme.
According to officials, the duo launched a company and convinced several individuals—including a city-based doctor—to invest by promising exceptionally high returns. After collecting large sums, the couple went into hiding.
Further investigation revealed that Satish and Shilpa had floated several shell companies and diverted the money into these entities to avoid detection. Acting on complaints filed by the victims, a special police team traced the couple to Karnataka, where they were apprehended and later brought to Hyderabad.
Police said the couple systematically defrauded the public and will face legal action under relevant sections of law.(pressmeddiaofindida.com)
