: GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy today said Ganesh Immersion procession was conducted peacefully in the city.
Speaking to media today, the Commissioner said so far some 12,000 Ganesh idols were immersed. The immersion of Khairtabad Ganesh idol was conducted as per schedule and the organizers of Ganesh Utsav Samithi have decided to install clay idol next year, he said. He also appreciated the mandap organizers for themselves acting as volunteers during entire 11-day festival, particularly centrally Ganesh immersion procession.
Dr Janardhan Reddy said the Ganesh festival was conducted successfully and peacefully with active cooperation of all the departments and expressed gratitude to all those who have extended cooperation for making the festival a grand success.
