Drug Peddlers Arrested in Narsingi, Cocaine Worth ₹7.5 Lakh Seized

Hyderabad, October 9 (PMI) The City Police and the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) team arrested two men in Narsingi, Hyderabad, for smuggling cocaine into the city.

The accused, identified as Siram Ananth Kumar (50) and Peruru Veerababu (32), were apprehended near Manchirevula. Authorities seized approximately 107 grams of cocaine, along with other items, with a total value estimated at ₹7.5 lakh.

Police officials stated that the two were transporting the contraband from Mumbai to Hyderabad.

A third accused, believed to be the supplier, Karthikeya Shekar, is currently absconding, and a search is on to locate him.

A case has been registered against the arrested individuals under Sections 27A (financing illicit drug traffic) and 29 (criminal conspiracy) of India’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. (pressmediaofindia.com)
