Hyderabad, Nov.17 (PMI): Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi leader Manda Krishna Madiga was taken into preventive custody by the police in view of proposed dharna at Indira Park on Sunday.
The MRPS has called for a protest at Indira Park in support of the TSRTC strike. On receiving information that Manda Krishna Madiga was in a lodge at Habsiguda, the police detained him.
Meanwhile, several MRPS activists were also taken into custody at various places when they tried to march towards Indira Park.
The city police denied permission for MRPS program. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and other senior officials are monitoring the situation.
