Hyderabad: Senior police officer Vijay Kumar, who has been temporarily attached as Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) took charge here on Thursday.

DS Chauhan, Additional Commissioner (Law and Order) Hyderabad, who was until now holding additional charge of the post, handed over the charge to Vijay Kumar.

Vijay Kumar, a 1997 batch IPS officer and waiting in the Chief Office for posting, will be heading the traffic wing till further orders, City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said in an order.
