Hyderabad : A record number of 41,111 tender applications were received by the Excise Department for 2216 liquor shops in Telangana State.
According to Excise Commissioner Chandravadan one Tuesday alone as many as 23,750 applications ere received. The tenders for the shops would be finalized through lottery system by the Collectors on September 23 for which all arrangements were made.
The State Exchequer is expected to make a bonanza of over Rs.411 crores revenue through the liquor shop licenses.
