Hyderabad, November 6 (Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI): The Golconda Zone Police organised an appreciation ceremony to honour the best Ganesh pandal organisers for their cooperation, discipline and adherence to police guidelines during the recent Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
The programme was held under the leadership of J. Raghavendra Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Golconda Zone, in recognition of the efforts made by Ganesh festival organisers in ensuring peaceful and orderly celebrations.
The event was attended by Krishna Goud, Additional DCP, Golconda Zone; Fayaz, ACP Tolichowki; Tirupathi, ACP Kulsumpura; Srinivas, ACP Asifnagar; Chandrasekhar, ACP Goshamahal; besides Station House Officers (SHOs), Sub-Inspectors and police personnel from various police stations across the zone.
As part of the initiative, the best five Ganesh pandal organisers from each police station jurisdiction were selected and felicitated for their responsible management and cooperation with the police.
The selection was based on several criteria, including systematic maintenance of pandal premises, active involvement and availability of organisers, compliance with police instructions and security guidelines, and implementation of essential safety arrangements such as crowd management and fire safety measures.
Organisers were also appreciated for conducting cultural and devotional programmes in accordance with traditional practices while ensuring that public movement and daily activities were not inconvenienced.
Community leaders and local representatives also participated in the ceremony, reflecting the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and harmony during religious festivals.
Addressing the gathering, police officials said that the initiative was aimed at encouraging responsible festival management, strengthening community-oriented policing and promoting better coordination between the police department, festival organisers and the general public.
They emphasised that public cooperation and adherence to safety regulations play a vital role in ensuring peaceful festival celebrations and maintaining communal harmony.
The programme concluded with the felicitation of the selected organisers, reaffirming Golconda Zone Police’s commitment to public safety, communal harmony and stronger police-community relations. (pressmediaofindia. com)
