Families, youth, and elders gathered to honor ‘ Jashan e Mubarak ‘ of Imam Raza (A.S)
Melbourne, May 1 (PMI) A grand and spiritually uplifting cake-cutting ceremony was held at Ashoor Khana-e-Hussainia Zehra (S.A.) in Melbourne to mark the blessed Wiladat of Imam Ali Raza (A.S.). Community members gathered in large numbers to celebrate the birth anniversary of the 8th Imam with devotion, joy, and reverence.
The atmosphere was filled with religious spirit as families, youth, and elders participated in the Jashan, remembering the teachings, character, and sacrifices of Imam Ali Raza (A.S.).
Imam Ali Raza (A.S.), also known as Imam Reza, was born in Madinah in 148 AH (765 CE). He was the son of Imam Musa al-Kazim (A.S.) and became the eighth Imam after his father. He was widely respected for his unmatched knowledge, humility, patience, generosity, and dedication to justice. His teachings continue to inspire millions across the world.
During the Abbasid era, Imam Ali Raza (A.S.) was invited to Khorasan by Caliph Al-Ma’mun, where he was named crown prince. Despite political pressures, the Imam remained steadfast in truth and righteousness. He was later martyred in 203 AH, and his holy shrine in Mashhad is today one of the most visited sacred sites in the Muslim world.
