Two Inter-State Drug Peddlers Held in Kachiguda; Hash Oil, Ganja Seized

Two  inter-state drug peddlers were apprehended in Kachiguda with one litre of hash oil and approximately 21.2 kg of ganja valued at around Rs. 23 lakh, police said.

Hyderabad, Sept 12 (PMI) The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone Team, along with Kachiguda Police, apprehended two alleged inter-state drug peddlers near the parcel office at Kachiguda Railway Station and seized one litre of hash oil and approximately 21.2 kg of ganja, police said.

The accused were identified as Pangi Satish Kumar, 29, a labourer from Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh, and Pangi Ganesh, 29, a labourer from Koraput district of Odisha.

According to police, the seized material included one litre of hash oil, 18 packets of ganja weighing approximately 21.2 kg and two mobile phones, with the total value estimated at around Rs. 23 lakh.

Police said the two accused are cousins and allegedly came to Hyderabad with the intention of selling the narcotic substances to customers and making quick money. Acting on credible information, the Task Force and Kachiguda Police intercepted them near the railway station and recovered the suspected contraband from two gunny bags, police said.

During preliminary questioning, the accused allegedly told police that they had purchased the hash oil and ganja from a person identified as Loknath of Odisha, who is reportedly absconding.

A case has been registered at Kachiguda Police Station and further investigation is underway to establish the source of the narcotics and identify other persons allegedly involved in the network.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of DCP Task Force Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, IPS, along with police officers and personnel of the Secunderabad Zone Task Force and Kachiguda Police Station.(pressmediaofindia.com)
