Secunderabad Zone Peace Committee Meeting Held Ahead of Ganesh Festival–2026

Hyderabad, September 12 (Zoya Fatima-PMI): A Peace Committee meeting was held at Maharana Pratap Function Hall, Amberpet, under the chairmanship of Secunderabad Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshitha K. Murthy, IPS, ahead of the Ganesh Festival–2026.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Narsaiah, Assistant Commissioners of Police, Station House Officers of Secunderabad Zone and members of the Peace Committee.

The meeting discussed measures to ensure the peaceful and smooth conduct of the festival and immersion processions. Police officials stressed the need to maintain public order and communal harmony, regulate traffic, avoid unnecessary road obstructions and adhere to designated procession routes and prescribed timings.

Ganesh Utsav organisers and members of the public were urged to cooperate with the police and other departments and follow all safety guidelines. Special attention was drawn to the safety of children, women and senior citizens during the celebrations and processions.

Police also appealed to citizens and organisers to avoid spreading rumours, provocative messages or engaging in activities that could affect communal harmony.

The police appreciated the cooperation extended by Peace Committee members and called upon all stakeholders to work together to ensure a safe, peaceful and successful Ganesh Festival–2026. Secunderabad Zone president Narayan Reddy and other members attended the meeting.
