Hyderabad, August 7 ( Ali Abbas-PMI): The Saidabad Police have arrested a 21-year-old auto-rickshaw driver in connection with the murder of a man in Singareni Colony, bringing a swift breakthrough in the case reported on August 4.
The accused, identified as E. Suman (21), allegedly murdered Mohd. Fasi Ahmed Ameer following a long-standing personal dispute. According to police, Suman attacked the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene in his auto-rickshaw.
During the investigation, police traced and arrested the accused. The murder weapon was recovered from Saroornagar Lake with the assistance of the Disaster Response Force of HYDRAA, where the accused had allegedly disposed of it after committing the crime.
Police also seized the accused’s bloodstained clothes, the auto-rickshaw used in the offence, and his mobile phone as part of the investigation.
Following his arrest, Suman was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
The Saidabad Police stated that the investigation has established that the murder was the result of a personal enmity between the accused and the deceased. Further investigation into the case is underway (pressmediaofindia)
