Hyderabad, September 7 (PMI): Videos and claims concerning land reportedly associated with Koh-e-Imam Zamin have been circulating on social media, with some alleging construction activity on the property and action by the Waqf Board to remove certain structures. However, no complete official confirmation or denial of these claims has been made public so far.
The issue came to PMI News through videos received from a member of the community. One of the videos purportedly shows construction activity at a site that the person who shared the video claims is associated with Koh-e-Imam Zamin. The video further claims that 75 plus 75, or a total of 150 flats, are being constructed at the site. PMI News has not independently verified the ownership of the land or the legal status of the construction activity.
In another video, individuals identified in the footage as Waqf Board personnel are purportedly seen removing pillars or other construction structures at a location. According to the person who provided the video, the site involves approximately 10 acres of Waqf land associated with Koh-e-Imam Zamin. This claim also requires independent verification through official records or the concerned authorities.
The footage also appears to show an individual allegedly intervening in the proceedings, followed by an exchange of questions and a minor verbal altercation between the persons present. The identities of the individuals seen in the video, as well as their respective legal positions, have not been independently verified.
According to the report, a board was subsequently installed at the location bearing the name “T. Krishna Rao, son of T. Gopal Rao.” It is reported that the board remains at the site. However, the installation of the board, by itself, does not establish any legal ownership or right over the property.
Some members of the Shia community have expressed concern over the matter and called upon the Waqf Board, the concerned Shia member of the Waqf Board, and the Koh-e-Imam Zamin Committee to provide clear information regarding the ownership of the land, its present status, and any legal action being taken in connection with the property.
Some individuals have also raised concerns that political or other interests could potentially be involved. However, no conclusion can be drawn on such claims without concrete evidence and statements from the concerned authorities and parties.
Members of the public have urged Waqf Board CEO Asadullah and Hyder Agha to clarify their position on the matter. They have also sought information on whether the land is recorded as Waqf property and, if so, details regarding its current legal status and measures being taken for its protection.
