Hyderabad, Sept 21 (PMI) The Cyberabad Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions in several parts of the city in view of Ganesh idol immersion processions. The restrictions will remain in force from midnight on September 25 until 8 a.m. on September 26, with the aim of ensuring smooth traffic movement and facilitating the immersion processions.
The IDL Tank Road will be closed to general traffic from the IDL Entrance to Rainbow Vista. Only vehicles accompanying Ganesh processions will be permitted. Traffic travelling from Kukatpally Y Junction towards Madhapur via IDL Tank Road will be diverted at the IDL Tank Entrance towards JNTU, Forum Mall, HITEC City and then Madhapur.
Similarly, traffic from HITEC City, Madhapur and Hafeezpet towards Kukatpally Y Junction will be diverted via Lucky Restaurant Signal, KPHB 4th Phase, Road No. 1 and Remedy Hospital U-turn before proceeding towards Kukatpally Y Junction.
The stretch from Srinivasa Steel to Three Monkey Junction will also be closed to general traffic. Vehicles travelling from Gandimaisamma and Pragathi Nagar towards JNTU will be diverted at Pragathi Nagar through Nizampet Village, Survey No. 191 Colony Road and Nizampet Road before reaching JNTU.
Traffic moving from JNTU towards Pragathi Nagar Colony will be diverted at Srinivasa Steel, Tulasinagar, through Konaseema Hotel Road, Kolan Raghava Reddy Gardens and Nizampet (Tulasinagar), before proceeding towards Pragathi Nagar.
For heavy vehicles, those travelling from Gandimaisamma Crossing towards Balanagar will be diverted at Bahadurpally Junction. They will have to take the route through Dulapally Village Junction and JETL before proceeding to Balanagar.
Heavy vehicles travelling from Balanagar towards Gandimaisamma will be diverted at Suraram Junction towards Suraram Village, Bowrampet Junction (Snake Park) and then Gandimaisamma Junction.
Traffic coming from Darga on the Old Mumbai Highway will be diverted through Road No. 32 (HT Lane), the backside of Malkam Cheruvu Road and KIMS Hospital Lane before rejoining the Old Mumbai Highway.
The Cyberabad Police has also imposed restrictions on private travel buses during the specified period. Buses travelling from Miyapur towards Hyderabad City through Kukatpally Y Junction will not be permitted. Restrictions will also apply to buses travelling from Miyapur through Hafeezpet, Kondapur and Gachibowli, as well as buses travelling from BHEL Junction towards Gachibowli via HCU Road.
The police have appealed to motorists to cooperate with the traffic arrangements and use the designated alternative routes during the immersion period. (pressmediaofindia.com)
