Hyderabad, Sept 3 (PMI)A Cyber Crime Awareness Programme was organised at Defence Colony in Neredmet to educate residents about emerging cyber threats and ways to protect themselves from online fraud.
Smt. S. V. Naga Lakshmi, DCP Cyber Crime, along with the ACP Cyber Crime, attended the programme and briefed citizens about various forms of cybercrime, particularly the growing threat of “Digital Arrest” scams.
The police officials shared practical preventive measures and advised residents to remain vigilant while handling suspicious calls, messages, links and online requests. Citizens were urged not to share personal or financial information with unknown persons and to promptly report any suspicious cyber activity to the authorities.
The programme aimed to strengthen public awareness and encourage responsible digital practices.
