Coordinate Efforts to Ensure Smooth Traffic During Monsoon: Officials Cyberabad Municipal CommissionerSrijana, Cyberabad CP M. Ramesh

Hyderabad, August 10 (PMI): Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner Srijana and Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh directed officials of all concerned departments to work in coordination to prevent traffic disruptions during the monsoon and ensure that motorists reach their destinations safely.

A high-level coordination meeting with officials from various government departments was held at the Cyberabad Commissionerate on Monday to review monsoon preparedness, road development and traffic management.

The meeting was attended by Water Board MD Ashok Reddy, TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh V. Patil, TGIIC VC and MD K. Shashanka, Traffic Joint Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh, and representatives from HYDRA, Roads & Buildings (R&B) and National Highways.

The commissioners directed officials to immediately repair roads damaged by potholes. Detailed discussions were held on improving the drainage system, setting up new free-left lanes at junctions, reconstructing existing free-lefts and restoring non-functional traffic signals.

The Cyberabad Police Commissioner instructed officials to conduct joint field inspections in areas affected by monsoon-related problems and accord top priority to junctions witnessing heavy traffic congestion and frequent accidents.

The officials were also directed to ensure close coordination among departments and take timely measures to minimise traffic problems and inconvenience to the public during the rainy season. (pressmediaofindia.com)
