Telangana Horror: Man Kills Wife With Axe After Row Over Son’s Devi Immersion

Hyderabad, Oct 4 (Crime Bureau-PMI) A shocking incident in Mahabubabad district, Telangana, left a woman dead after her husband attacked her with an axe. The victim, Chekati Swapna, was allegedly killed by her husband, Naresh, following a heated argument over their 17-year-old son Vikaram attending a Devi immersion procession during Dussehra.

Police said Naresh blamed his wife for their son’s behavior and, in a fit of rage, struck her fatally on the neck with an axe at their home in Allery village, under Nellikudur police station limits.

A case was registered based on a complaint filed by Swapna’s sister, Macharla Uma. The couple had been married for about 20 years and had two children. The body was sent for post-mortem, and police confirmed that an investigation is underway.(pressmediaofindia.com)
