Hyderabad, Sept 7 (PMI) The Saifabad police have registered cases against BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, MLAs T. Harish Rao, Sudheer Reddy and others following a confrontation with police personnel near the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Monday.
According to the police, the cases relate to alleged misbehaviour with police personnel and the use of abusive language during a standoff that reportedly occurred when the BRS leaders were stopped while attempting to enter the Assembly premises.
Police said the cases were registered based on video footage and other available evidence. The footage allegedly shows some of the legislators and others arguing with police personnel and engaging in what the police described as unruly behaviour.
Officials said the video recordings and other evidence are being examined as part of the investigation. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the probe, police said.
The allegations against the legislators have not been established in court, and the investigation is continuing. (pressmediaofindia.com)
