Maintaining Law and Order and Promoting Communal Harmony is a Shared Responsibility of the Police and Peace Committee: K Kondal Rao Sho Mir Chowk

Hyderabad, June 1 (Ali Abbas -PMI) The Inspector of Police stated that maintaining law and order and promoting communal harmony in society are shared responsibilities of both the police and the Peace Committee. He emphasized that lasting peace cannot be achieved without the active cooperation of the public. He urged people from all communities and faiths to play a constructive role in fostering mutual respect, tolerance, and brotherhood.

He further said that members of the Peace Committee serve as an important link between different communities and play a significant role in resolving misunderstandings and disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding. While the police remain committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring the rule of law, the Peace Committee contributes to strengthening social cohesion and harmony.

The Inspector appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumors, to refrain from sharing unverified information on social media, and to immediately report any suspicious or provocative activities to the police. He reaffirmed that the police and the Peace Committee will continue to work together to preserve an atmosphere of peace, unity, and communal harmony in society.

A delegation of the Central Peace and Welfare Committee, Charminar Zone, led by its President K.A. Moiz and General Secretary Ejaz Qadri, met Mir Chowk Police Inspector K. Kondal Rao on Monday afternoon. The delegation included Najaf Ali Shoukat (journalist), Anees-ur-Rahman, Hasan Ali, Mohammed Ghouse, Gopal Das, Praveen Kumar, Sifghalulla, Salman Sharif, and Shehbaz Khan.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Inspector of the Peace Committee’s dedicated and selfless efforts in promoting peace, communal harmony, and social cohesion in the Charminar Zone. The members highlighted the Committee’s role in assisting the police and administration in maintaining law and order and fostering goodwill among various communities.

 On the occasion, Najaf Ali Shoukat and Ejaz Qadri held discussions with Inspector Kondal Rao regarding the upcoming observance of Muharram. They exchanged views on arrangements for religious gatherings, processions, traffic regulation, and measures required to ensure the peaceful and smooth conduct of Muharram-related activities.

 Inspector K. Kondal Rao appreciated the valuable contribution of the Peace Committee towards maintaining communal harmony and assured the delegation of the police department’s full cooperation in facilitating the peaceful observance of Muharram and safeguarding public order.
