Hyderabad, July 9 (PMI): In a major anti-drug operation, Attapur  Police busted an alleged narcotics distribution network and arrested five accused involved in the illegal possession, transportation, and sale of banned narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Two other accused, including the alleged supplier, are absconding.

Acting on credible information, police raided a room near a scrap shop at New Jalal Baba Nagar, Attapur, and seized narcotic substances along with cash and other incriminating material.

Seizures

* 6.65 grams of MDMA
* 5 Hyter-M (Mephentermine Sulphate) injections
* 5 sachets of Alprazolam tablets
* 2 unused syringes
* 1 knife
* 5 mobile phones
* ₹16,930 in cash
* 1 packet of paper glass tips
* 1 black carry bag

Arrested Accused

* A2 – Syed Abul Hassan (34), Auto Driver, R/o MM Pahadi, Qayum Nagar, Attapur – Alleged Peddler & Consumer.
* A3 – Saif Ali Mirza (21), Sign Board Worker, R/o MM Pahadi, Qayum Nagar, Attapur – Alleged Sub-Peddler & Consumer.
* A5 – Ahmed Hussain (24), Auto Driver, R/o Qayum Nagar, Attapur – Alleged Sub-Peddler & Consumer.
* A6 – Shaik Ayub (27), Hardware Worker, R/o Bhoopal Nagar, Attapur – Alleged Sub-Peddler & Consumer.
* A7 – Mir Shabbir Ali @ Shabbir (38), Labourer & Sales Coordinator (Dubai), R/o Yakutpura, Hyderabad – Alleged Sub-Peddler & Consumer.

Absconding Accused

* A1 – Baquar, R/o Darul-ul-Shifa, Hyderabad – Alleged Supplier.
* A4 – Mujahid @ Mujju – Alleged Sub-Peddler.

According to police, A2 allegedly procured MDMA, Hyter-M Mephentermine Sulphate injections, and Alprazolam tablets from A1 at Darul-ul-Shifa and, with the assistance of A3 to A7, supplied the contraband to consumers in Hyderabad for illegal profits. Police also stated that A2 has a long criminal history involving property offences, robbery, and NDPS cases.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Sri S. Sreenivas, IPS, DCP Rajendranagar Zone, Sri T. Srinivas, ACP Rajendranagar Division, Sri K. Nageswara Rao, SHO Attapur, Sri B.
