Hyderabad, Septr 16, 2025:(PMI) In a significant move underscoring the importance of women’s safety, the XII Special Judicial Magistrate Court at Manoranjan Complex, Gandhi Bhavan, Nampally, on Tuesday sentenced a man to seven days’ imprisonment for abusing a woman.
The accused, identified as C. Balaji, a resident of Gudimalkapur, was found guilty in a petty case registered at Mehdipatnam Police Station. The case pertained to an incident where Balaji reportedly verbally abused a woman, prompting police action.
Following the investigation, a charge sheet was filed, and the court, after hearing the case, awarded a seven-day jail term to the accused.
The Mehdipatnam Police stated that they remain committed to protecting the rights and dignity of women and ensuring that such offenses are dealt with swiftly and strictly under the law.(Pressmediaofindia.com)
