DCP Khare Kiran IPS, Holds Meeting with Shia Organizations to Review Muharram Arrangements

Shia Youth Federation of India submits a memorandum to the DCP on Muharram Issues and Security Measures

Hyderabad, June 4 (Ali Abbas-PMI): Deputy Commissioner of Police (Charminar Zone), Khare Kiran Prabhakar  IPS, stated that the Police Department is making comprehensive and effective arrangements to ensure the peaceful conduct of Majalis, mourning processions, and all Muharram-related religious activities while maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram. He assured that every possible assistance and facility would be provided to the mourners of Imam Hussain (AS).

He was addressing a meeting convened to review Muharram arrangements, attended by caretakers of Ashoorkhanas, representatives of mourning organizations, and members of the Shia community.

In his address, DCP Khare Kiran, IPS, said that Muharram conveys the message of respect, devotion, sacrifice, and communal harmony. He emphasized that the Police Department is fully committed to ensuring that all religious gatherings, Majalis, and mourning processions are conducted peacefully and without any obstacles.

He informed the gathering that additional police personnel would be deployed at sensitive locations, special traffic arrangements would be made, and an effective monitoring system would be established to ensure public safety and the smooth conduct of all programs.

The DCP appealed to the Shia community, mourning organizations, and devotees to extend full cooperation to the police during Muharram, adhere to prescribed regulations, and immediately report any suspicious activity or untoward incident to the concerned authorities.

He assured that the police would remain available at all times to address the concerns of mourners and that the best possible arrangements would be made in coordination with all relevant departments.

During the meeting, representatives of mourning organizations and caretakers of Ashoorkhanas presented their suggestions, concerns, and requirements regarding Muharram arrangements. The DCP listened to them in detail and assured appropriate action and necessary support. Participants welcomed the arrangements being made by the police and assured their full cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Mir Chowk Sri Shyam Sundar, Inspector Mir Chowk M. Kondal Rao, Inspector Rain Bazaar C. Nethaji, Inspector Charminar Ram Babu, and others.

Representatives of various mourning organizations who attended the meeting included Syed Najaf Ali Shoukat, President of the Markazi Anjuman Matami Gurohan; Tanveer Agha (Guroh-e-Jafri); Mir Mehdi Ali (Guroh Shohada-e-Karbala); Syed Baqar Ali (Guroh Shaida-e-Shabbir); Mir Haider Ali (Anjuman Parwana Jafferia); Syed Laiq Ali (Anjuman Labbaik Ya Hussain); Asghar Ali (Anjuman Saqqa-e-Sakina); Safdar Hussain (Anjuman Fida-e-Ali Asghar); Ali Abbas (Anjuman Aza-e-Hussain); Mujtaba Moosvi (Anjuman Sada-e-Zahra); Mushtaq Hussain (Anjuman Parwana Qasim); Ghulam Panjtan (Anjuman Baquri); Mujtaba (Anjuman Shahidan-e-Karbala); Jawad (Matamdaran-e-Ali Akbar); and Gohar (Guroh Mohibban-e-Hussain), among others.

Among those present were Mir Abbas Ali Moosvi of Badshahi Ashoorkhana, Saber Ali of Qadam Rasool, Azhar Panja Shah, Qayam of  Chhoti Bargah Darbar Abul Fazl (AS), and representatives of Ashoorkhana Hussaini Alam.

Later, a delegation of the Shia Youth Federation of India, led by Syed Najaf Ali Shoukat, President of the Markazi Anjuman Matami Gurohan, met the DCP and submitted a memorandum highlighting various issues and demands related to Muharram arrangements. The delegation included Syed Baqar Ali, Basheer Ahmed Pravez, Syed Laiq Ali, and Ali Abbas.

The DCP assured the delegation that the doors of the Police Department would always remain open for addressing the grievances and concerns of mourners. He further stated that, in collaboration with all concerned departments, the best possible arrangements would be made to ensure the peaceful, organized, and dignified observance of Muharram-ul-Haram.
