Congress unable to accept Modi’s third-term mandate:Bjp Chief N. Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, Oct.4 (PMI): BJP Telangana State president N. Ramchander Rao ( NRR) on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Congress, alleging that the party was unable to accept the people’s mandate in favour of Narendra Modi, who became Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP’s state headquarters, Ramchander Rao said the Congress had suffered defeats in several States and in three consecutive Lok Sabha elections, yet its leadership was unable to come to terms with the fact that voters had rejected the party and backed Modi for a third term as Prime Minister.

He alleged that Congress leaders were operating with a “monarchical” mindset, believing that the Prime Minister’s post belonged exclusively to the Nehru-Gandhi family, and were misleading the people with such an approach.

Ramchander Rao also criticised the Congress leadership for failing to accept the changing political preferences of the electorate and the repeated electoral mandate in favour of Modi.

He expressed outrage over Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statements calling all elections held in the country a farce and demanding their cancellation. Condemning such comments, Rao asserted that questioning the people’s mandate is an insult not only to voters of this country, but to Indian democracy itself.

BJP state chief accused Rahul Gandhi and forces like Prakash Raj of joining hands in a conspiracy to erode public trust in independent constitutional bodies such as the Supreme Court of India, the President’s Office, and the Election Commission of India (ECI). He criticized Congress for attempting to weaken these systems and jeopardize the country’s integrity.

Clarifying allegations made by the Congress regarding the ongoing SIR process in Hyderabad city, Rao asserted that there is no truth to their claims. He made it clear that this process is being conducted entirely by the state government machinery, and decisions on deleting votes are taken only after the Election Commission conducts field-level inquiries into any objections. He reminded that simply submitting Form-7 does not automatically lead to voter deletion, and the Form-7 mechanism exists per rules specifically to weed out fake and duplicate votes. He further clarified that no Booth Level Agents (BLA-1, BLA-2) belonging to the BJP have submitted any such applications. He stated that creating a commotion over an issue that is still at the inquiry stage is completely objectionable.

He mocked the Congress party, saying it has become a habit for them to praise systems as functioning properly whenever they win an election, but blame EVMs and the SIR process whenever they lose. He criticized Congress leaders for praising the SIR process when winning in states like Kerala, while slinging mud in places where they face defeat.

Predicting that a ‘Congress-Mukt Bharat’ has largely been realized across the country and that voters in the remaining two or three states will surely reject them as well, Rao warned that the people of India will thwart Congress’s conspiracies to demean democratic institutions and defame the Narendra Modi government. He affirmed that the BJP will fight uncompromisingly to safeguard democracy.

BJP state chief warned that the people of India would certainly expose the Congress party, which is indulging in false propaganda undermining democratic institutions. The BJP would strongly oppose every attempt by the Congress party to malign the Modi government and will continue to politically fight against such attempts, he said. (pressmediaofindia.com)
