HYDERABAD, Oct 8 (Shouka
t-PMI) The Charminar Zone Police have registered 27 FIRs against violations of prescribed guidelines governing DJ sound systems, loud music and public nuisance during the Ganesh Festival–2026.
According to the police, 51 persons were identified for violating the guidelines through CCTV footage and field-level monitoring. The police also seized 68 sound boxes and 21 amplifiers allegedly used in violation of the prescribed norms.
The 51 identified persons were summoned to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Charminar Zone, where they were counselled and advised to comply with the prescribed regulations. They were also urged to cooperate with the police during religious festivals and public events to ensure peace and prevent inconvenience to the general public.
DCP Charminar Zone Kiran Khare, IPS, along with the Additional DCP, directed police officers to take necessary measures to ensure that festival celebrations are conducted peacefully and without causing disturbance to the public.
The DCP appealed to youngsters and festival organisers to celebrate with devotion and discipline, avoid excessive sound and activities causing public nuisance, and extend their cooperation to the police in maintaining law and order, public safety and communal harmony.
Emphasising the importance of responsible celebrations, the Charminar Zone Police stated, “Celebration is everyone’s right, but public safety is everyone’s responsibility.
