ACB Traps Panchayat Secretary in Karimnagar for Rs 10,000 Bribe

Karimnagar, Oct. 10 (PMI): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a gram panchayat secretary from Madhuranagar red-handed while accepting a Rs 10,000 bribe from a beneficiary of the Indiramma housing scheme.

According to ACB officials, Anil, secretary of Madhuranagar gram panchayat in Gangadhara mandal, had demanded the bribe from the beneficiary in exchange for issuing bills under the housing scheme.

When the beneficiary was unable to pay, he approached the ACB. Acting on the complaint, officials laid a trap and caught Anil accepting the amount. The accused was subsequently taken into custody.(pressmediaofindia.com)
