Six Senior IPS Officers Promoted To DGP Rank In Telangana

Hyderabad, April 22 (Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI): The Telangana government has empanelled and promoted six senior IPS officers from the 1995 and 1996 batches to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) under the Super Time Scale (HAG+).

The officers promoted include Veerisetty Venkata Srinivasa Rao, Swati Lakra, Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, Charu Sinha, Dr. Anil Kumar, and V.C. Sajjanar.

All six officers will continue in their current postings following the elevation.

The move reflects the government’s focus on strengthening senior-level leadership within the police force.

It also ensures administrative continuity across key departments.
