Hyderabad, Jan.6 (PMI): The High Court today directed the State Election Commission not to issue municipal election notification till Tuesday evening. It later adjourned the hearing of the case to Tuesday.
The court passed the orders in a Public Interest Litigation filed by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy challenging the election schedule issued by the SEC to conduct the elections to different municipalities and municipal corporations in the State. The Court also directed the SEC to submit election manual, rules and regulations and related material including a copy of the notification before it on Tuesday.
