Hyderabad: JUNE 10 ( PMI ) The Hyderabad Police raided several pan shops and illegal gutkha manufacturing units in a special drive in the west zone and caught four persons on Wednesday.
The police raided various shops in Asifnagar, Humayun Nagar, Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills and Punjagutta areas and arrested four persons on charges of illegally selling gutkha. They seized different brands of gutkha worth Rs 3 lakh.
One held with illegal tobacco products in Musheerabad
The Commissioner’s Task Force (Central) caught one person who was found selling tobacco products illegally and seized material worth Rs 1 lakh from him.
The team caught Bilakanti Gopi (52) of Ramnagar in Musheerabad on Wednesday. Gopi was selling tobacco products like foreign cigarettes illegally smuggled into the city and gutkha to retail shopkeepers, police said. He was handed over to Musheerabad police for further action
