Hyderabad, Nov.4 (INS): Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali today called upon the Muslim voters to support BRS Narsapur Assembly candidate Sunita Laxma Reddy.
Speaking at an election meeting held at Narsapur as chief guest, Mahmood Ali said there was no development in Telangana State during 50-year Congress rule and nine-year rule of Telugu Desam party. The Home Minister also reminded the people that during the erstwhile Congress party rule, there were clashes between Hindus and Muslims every day, but after the advent of CM KCR rule, the citizens were living harmoniously.
He also said to ensure complete communal harmony, this year the Milad-Un-Nabi and immersion of Vinayaka idols were ordered to take place on different dates. He also said the KCR government had opened many residential schools for the Muslim students. The CM also provided Rs 2 lakh financial assistance to the Muslim students going abroad for higher education.
Mahmood Ali pointed out that the KCR government had provided honorary salaries to the Imams of the Muslim community. He also reminded that so far, the KCR government distributed financial assistance of Rs 24 crore under Shadi Mubarak scheme all over the State. The Home Minister also said there was no leader like generous KCR in the whole country. He also said TPCC president Revanth Reddy was an RSS agent. He also reminded that Congress leaders were crossing swords for the post of chief minister. (INS)
