Hyderabad’Nov 15 (PMI-Crime Bureau) The Excise Special Task Force (STF) police arrested three individuals involved in the illegal sale of ganja in different parts of the city. Officials seized a total of 1.483 kilograms of ganja, along with two mobile phones and an auto-rickshaw used for transportation.
According to the STF, two accused — Dumppa Srinivas and Kaveti Vijay Kumar — were selling ganja while moving around in an auto-rickshaw. Acting on credible information, STF teams apprehended them at Mithani Road in Balanagar while they were engaged in drug sales. Police recovered 331 grams of ganja, the auto-rickshaw, and two mobile phones from their possession. The case has been handed over to the Balanagar Excise Police for further investigation, STF CI Nagaraju stated.
In another incident, the STF arrested Narender Singh in the Jinsi Chourahi area of Dhoolpet for selling ganja. During the operation, police seized 1.152 kilograms of ganja from him. STF officer E.S. Anjireddy said that cases have also been registered against Vijayalakshmi and Bijimadi Boyil, who allegedly supported the illegal trade and are currently absconding.
The STF confirmed that strict action will continue against individuals involved in the distribution and sale of narcotic substances within the city. (pressmediaofindia.com)
