Hyderabad‘Oct 08Crime Bureau-PMI) In a disturbing incident in Venkatannaguda village, Chevella, a man
allegedly murdered his estranged second wife following a family dispute. The incident occurred on Tuesday night.
According to police, the accused, V. Jangaiah, had two wives and was living with his first wife while remaining estranged from his second wife, Rajitha, for the past three years. The couple, married for 15 years, has two children.
On Monday, Jangaiah brought Rajitha to the village and met her in the presence of local elders in an attempt to reconcile. However, Rajitha reportedly refused.
The next day, allegedly under the influence of alcohol and bearing a grudge, Jangaiah strangled Rajitha with a scarf and fatally struck her chest with a cement slab.
After the incident, he reportedly sent photos of the body to his first wife, informed the village sarpanch, and then surrendered at the local police station.
