Hyderabad, Oct.16 (Syed Baquer Ali -PMI): Elaborate Security arrangements have been made in the old city area of Hyderabad falling under the South Zone police limits. Historic Charminar Assembly constituency, Bahadur Pura Assembly constituency and parts of Yaqutpura, Malakpet and Rajender Nagar Assembly Constituencies fall under South Zone Police Limits.
Exclusively speaking to Syed Najaf Ali Shoukat,News Editor Press Media of India, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Zone, Sri P. Sai Chaitaniya, IPS said that special arrangements have been made in all the 680 polling stations falling under the South Zone Police Limits and about 280 polling stations which have been identified by the ECI as critical are being taken care off.
He called upon the citizens of the South Zone Police Station to actively take part in the Democratic process of Voting in the Assembly Election in a Free and Fair environment without fear which are held every five years to elect their representatives in the State Assembly without any fear or enticement.
He said as per the instructions of CP Hyderabad Sri Sandeep Shandilya, IPS all preparatory arrangements are going on such as deposit of Arms, execution of Non-Bail able Warrants (NBW), Counseling and vigilance on Rowdy Sheeters and anti-social elements, bond overs and interactions to discourage people from indulging in malpractice and scaring voters or influencing them.
Mr. Sai Cahitanya said that all the 400 odd arms have been deposited excluding 33 weapons which are being used for essential services. Apart from this all the Rowdy and History Sheeters are being Counsel and a strict vigilance is being kept on them. Apart from this bind over of anti social elements indulging in anti social activities is being taken up and it’s an ongoing process and about 1000 persons have been bounded till now.
Zonal Police Election cells had been setup to take up preventive measures and monitor election related offences. It will take up the enforcement work prevention of influencing voters through cash, liquor, freebies, drugs apart from mapping of critical polling locations and critical polling stations said DCP Sai Chaitaniya.
Apart from this three flying squads for each Assembly Constituency have been setup. From 20th October CRPF deployment will also commence and street marches will be held to install the 3F mantra among the voters the DCP said. ( PMI )
