The Cyberabad Police’s two-month-long investigation has come to light. The main accused hire agents to circulate fake notes and market them through them. It is suspected that counterfeit notes of up to two to three crores are being circulated in two Telugu states unofficially. The prime accused have been handing over fake notes to their agents. The police of Tri Police Commissionerates are now focused on the issue of fake notes. As fake notes are circulating more and more by targeting petty traders, they will be made aware about fake notes. Along with manufacturing of fake notes, also for the market of fake notes, YouTube, Instagrams are being used by criminals. With this, the authorities suggest that common people should be vigilant about such people and inform the police if they come across such information.

  It is known that 13 people have been arrested for circulating fake notes in Cyberabad. The fake notes being supplied to this gang were identified by the police as fake notes made using bond paper. The gang manufactures fake notes as per the need and prints the new ones after the pre-made ones go to the market. Rural areas are being taken as an opportunity for this. Areas that do not have sufficient expertise to detect counterfeit notes are identified and circulated there.

  Innocent people are being cheated by making fake notes that look like genuine notes. These fake notes are being circulated targeting small grocery stores, weekly markets, pawn shops, liquor stores in villages, petrol pumps, rice mills, money transfer shops, internet centers, milk shops, events, college fests, scrap shops, pushcarts and labor stalls.(PMI)
