Hyderabad, Oct.29 (PMI): CV Anand, Special chief secretary to state home department, visited the headquarters of Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence department at Nanakramguda here on Wednesday.
This was the first-ever visit by such a senior officer to the department. He was received by Vikram Singh Mann, Director General of Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence department.
During the visit, the Special Chief Secretary interacted with staff and reviewed a detailed presentation on the department’s infrastructure, human resources, technology, and budgetary position. Discussions also covered departmental responsibilities, key achievements of the past decade, current initiatives, challenges and future plans.
Anand appreciated the efforts of the Fire Services and SDRF teams and assured full government support to strengthen their preparedness and response capabilities. He also inspected the Quick Reaction Vehicle and Multi-Purpose Response Tender.
