, Says “Save the Infiltrators Yatra” Aims to Turn Seemanchal into Their Stronghold
Patna, Nov 8 (PMI): India’s Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during an election rally in Banmankhi town of Purnia district, accusing him of launching a “Save the Infiltrators Yatra.”
Addressing the public gathering, Shah asked, “Should infiltrators be removed or not?” He alleged that Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son had recently begun the so-called “Save the Infiltrators Yatra,” claiming they wanted to make Seemanchal a hub for infiltrators. “But we have decided that not only Seemanchal but the entire Bihar will be cleared of every infiltrator,” Shah declared.
He accused the infiltrators of snatching jobs meant for local youth, consuming rations meant for the poor, and making the nation insecure. Shah said the BJP and NDA plan to remove all infiltrators from Bihar within the next five years. “We will not only drive them out but also demolish the illegal encroachments they have made,” he said. Shah further alleged that most illegal businesses began during Lalu Yadav’s rule and were later expanded by infiltrators.
Shah also asked the public, “Should infiltrators be removed from voter lists or not?” He vowed to identify and delete their names from the electoral rolls and deport them. “Listen carefully, Rahul baba and Lalu Prasad Yadav — we will identify the infiltrators, delete their names from the voter lists, and send them back to their country. There will be no place for infiltrators in Seemanchal,” he said.
Referring to the 15-year rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, Shah claimed that during their regime, MLAs were murdered in broad daylight, and crimes such as looting, murder, rape, and kidnapping had become industries. He credited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for ending that “jungle raj” but warned that it was trying to return in another form. “If even a small mistake is made, jungle raj will come back,” he cautioned.
It is noteworthy that the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections saw a record voter turnout of 65.08 percent, the highest in the state’s history. The second phase of polling will be held on November 11 across 122 seats, while vote counting is scheduled for November 14.(pressmediaofindia.com)
