VHP leaders urge DGP to deport illegal Rohingyas in city, prohibit liquor shops on Dec 31

Hyderabad, Dec.27 (PressMedia Of India): A delegation of Vishwa Hingu Parishad leaders this evening called on Telangana Director General of Police Mahendar Reddy in his office and submitted two memoranda urging him to take severe action and impartial identification of illegal Rohingya Muslims residing in Telangana State, especially in Hyderabad region.

The VHP leaders pointed out that recently a dreaded terror mastermind was arrested from Royal Colony in Balapur area, which is a serious threat to national security. They said over 8,000 Rohingyas were residing in the city and most of them do not possess Refugee cards. Time and again it was  proved that many of illegal Rohingyas were involving in anti-social and anti-national activities. They urged the DGP to cause inquiry and identify the illegal residents without coming under political pressure and deport them.

In the  second memorandum, they requested the DGP to issue orders to close all intoxication providing shops, hotels, dhabas, pubs, bars and restaurants before midnight on December 31. They also pointed out that as per the Supreme Court guidelines, crackers should be burnt only between 11.55 pm and 12.30 am on that night. The VHP leaders asked the DGP to issue guidelines under the City Police Act to curb intoxication, bursting of crackers and usage of D.Js on December 31 night. On that night revelers from all communities consume alcohol in the midnight and go berserk. As the laws regarding burning of crackers were implemented on Deepawali, similar rule should be extended to December 31 night.

They said the DGP responded positively and assured to look into the matter and do the needful. The delegation included V.H.P Telangana State president Ramaraju, State Spokesperson Shahsidhar, Media Convener S. Kailash, Bajrangdal City convener M. Mukesh. (PMI)
