YS Sharmila slams KCR over electricity charges

Hyderabad, Dec.18 (PMI): The founder president of YSRTP YS Sharmila today reacted sharply against the Chief Minister of the KCR over the news reports that the state government was going to increase the power charges once again to recover around Rs.17,000 crore losses. She alleged that KCR was going to impose the burden on the poor and ordinary people of the state for electing him as their leader.

Talking about the pending electricity of various government departments, Sharmila said that electricity arrears of various government departments had gone up from Rs.1302 crores in the year 2014 to Rs.20841 crores in the year 2022 and asked the CM the reasons behind such an exponential increase in the pending bills? She said that the arrears of the irrigation department had gone up to Rs.9268 crores in the year 2020 from a mere Rs.107 crores in the year 2014.

Taking to her twitter handle, She asked the CM whether he would transfer the financial burden, which is the result of the mistakes of various government departments, electricity line faults and irregularities in the collection of the bills on the people or recover and rectify them? She alleged that KCR had built mansions for his family members while harassing the people of the state. (PMI)
