Hyderabad, July 30 (PMI): An Assistant Engineer of Yellandu Municipality in Bhadradi-Kothagudem district was caught red-handed by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau while he was receiving bribe amount on Tuesday.
Accused Artham Anil, who works as an assistant engineer at Yellandu Municipality allegedly demanded Rs 75,000 from one Parre Sampath Kumar, a contractor for recording measurements of complainant’s contract works in MBs and processing the same. The bribe amount of Rs 75,000 was recovered from the accused at his instance.
The delinquent was arrested and produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, ACB Director-General stated today. The DG also appealed to the general public to inform the ACB in case of demand for bribe by any assistant engineer or any employee of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development department for taking action against the culprits. The ACB DG requested the public to contact them on toll-free No 1064 for immediate action.
