“Will Seek Permission From Court To Allow Kejriwal To Operate From Jail”: Atishi

New Delhi’ Nov 7 (PMI) Delhi Minister Atishi on Monday said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders will seek permission from court to allow Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to operate from jail if he is arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

“We will seek permission from the court to allow CM Kejriwal to operate from jail in case he is arrested by the ED. If the Chief Minister goes to jail, the files will have to be moved there. Cabinet meetings will be held there”, Atishi said.

“A meeting of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and AAP MLAs was held today in which the leaders unanimously said that even if the Modi govt arrests Arvind Kejriwal, he must not resign. The people of Delhi have given him the mandate. He’ll remain Delhi’s Chief Minister even if he’s sent to jail,” she added.

Taking a swipe at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, the Delhi Minister said, “The case does not pertain to any investigation, rather, it is just a political conspiracy. We will not let it succeed”(Press media of india)
