WASHINGTON: Hundreds of “White American Terrorists” are planning armed protest next week particularly on the occasion of Joe Biden’ inauguration ceremony but neither Donald Trump nor any Far-Right or other racist, ethnic or nationalist group is ready to accept or own such types of allegations or activists are worried about the warnings and alerts issued by the US secret agencies especially FBI while Trump blamed “Antifa People” for Capitol’s attack, sources told PMI.
Sources further revealed that whether Trump remains President until 20th January 2021 (the last day of his tenure) or sacks from President-ship through impeachment, some “White Terrorists’ Groups” (those are basically the supporters of Donald Trump) have a plan to create panic, agitation and target against their opponents as well as America.
According to the reports
The FBI has warned of possible armed protests across the US as Trump supporters and far-right groups call for demonstrations before Joe Biden is sworn in as president.
There are reports of armed groups planning to gather at all 50 state capitols and in Washington DC in the run-up to his 20 January inauguration.
Security will be tight for the event after a pro-Trump mob stormed Congress.
House Democrats say a vote to impeach the president will happen on Wednesday.
The accused President Trump of “incitement of insurrection” and say the vote will be held unless Vice-President Mike Pence invokes constitutional powers to remove Trump from office. There is no sign Pence is prepared to do so.
Biden and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris are expected to be sworn in at a ceremony at the Capitol. The Biden team had already urged Americans to avoid travelling to the capital because of the Covid-19 pandemic, a call that is now being repeated by local authorities.
Security officials have said there will be no repeat of the breach seen on 6 January, when thousands of pro-Trump supporters were able to break into the building where members of Congress were voting to certify the election result.
Five people died in the riot, which happened after Trump repeated unsubstantiated claims of fraud in the November vote and encouraged his supporters to march on the Capitol.
Since then, calls for Trump’s resignation, removal from office or impeachment have grown among Democrats and some Republicans. Trump has made no public statements since he was banned from several social media platforms- including Tweeter on Friday.
He became the third US President to be impeached in December 2019 over charges of breaking the law by asking Ukraine to investigate his rival in the presidential election. The Senate cleared him.
Meanwhile, the US President Donald Trump privately blamed “Antifa people” for storming the US Capitol last Wednesday, even though clear video and documentary evidence shows the rioters were overwhelmingly his supporters, Axios website reported.
Antifa, short for anti-fascist, is an amorphous movement. Members of the group have clashed with far-right groups in the past few years. Trump threatened to label the group as a “terrorist” organization following protests in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, and other acts of police brutality.
Trump made the remark in a 30-minute-plus phone call on Monday morning with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Axios reported, citing a White House official and another source familiar with the call.
However, McCarthy told Trump in the call, which according to Axios was tense and aggressive at times, “It’s not Antifa, its MAGA (supporters of Trump). I know. I was there.”
McCarthy also advised Trump to call Joe Biden, meet with the president-elect and leave a welcome letter in the resolute desk for his successor, according to the report.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A representative of McCarthy was not immediately available for comment.
