Hyderabad, Amid rumors of his joining Congress party, Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy today asked what was wrong in meeting Congress high command for joining hands against the TRS government.
Speaking to the media in the wake of rumours that he was contemplating to join the Congress, Revanth Reddy clarified he went to Delhi for filing cases against the TRS MPs and MLAs. “We have worked in coordination with the Congress party against the State government and Singareni Collieries employees’ Union elections. “Under such circumstances, I met the Congress high command. What is wrong in it?”, he asked. The TTDP leader said he will be launching padayatra across the State fromDecember 9.
Meanwhile, in Vijayawada speculation is rife in political circles that Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy may join Congress party shortly. Though Revanth Reddy indirectly defended his meeting with the Congress high command, including its party vice-president Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, rumours are afloat about his political moves even ruling TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh were keeping silent on Revanth issue. The TDP high command also did not react on the speculations.
Reacting to the rumours, Nara Lokesh, IT minister and son of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu quipped “reports on Revanth Reddy are mere rumours only. How can I respond on media reports?”, Lokesh asked and said he has information that Revanth Reddy has gone to Delhi on court work.
