Hyderabad, May 26 (PMI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today predicted that his party would come to power in Telangana State after the next Assembly elections.
Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Narendra Modi said the State had become a captive in the hands of a family. He made these remarks while addressing a gathering of the party workers at Begumpet airport.
Speaking on the occasion, Modi made it clear that Telangana was not formed for the sake of a single family. Claiming that the State and the country are developed only when family-based political parties are chased away, he said adding that Telangana would witness a change of guard. He also said the winds of change were blowing in favour of the BJP. He said the party would form the next government in Telangana.
He also said they would go to any extent for the sake of development of the State and added that they would take the State on the path of development with the support from the youth. He reiterated that the BJP would work hard by following the slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas’. He said the State was not witnessing development due to the family based rule and rampant corruption.
Stating that he was aware of the strength of Telangana, Modi said the country’s economy was growing fast. He said they encouraged thousands of startups during his last year rule. Modi said Telangana was known for perseverance and courage. He said he always received a warm welcome from the people whenever he visited Telangana and thanked the people for according a warm welcome to him. Modi said hundreds of people sacrificed their lives for its formation and added that he was paying his tributes to all the martyrs of the State while wishing fulfilment of the dreams of the martyrs. Showering praises on the party workers, he said they were working very hard for the development of the party. (PMI)
