Hyderabad, Nov.22 (PMI): Exuding confidence that the BRS party will secure power for the third consecutive term in the upcoming Assembly elections, Minister KT Rama Rao said that they would focus on the job calendar when the election results were announced.
KT Rama Rao, who conducted road shows at Choutuppal in Munugode constituency and at Kodad in the erstwhile Nalgonda district on Wednesday, slammed the Congress party for not resolving
the decades-old fluoride issue and for ignoring the pathetic condition of fluorosis victims.
He reminded that after the formation of Telangana State, the BRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had solved the decades-old fluoride issue by supplying safe drinking water to every house in the area under Mission Bhagiratha and eradicated the flouoride issue permanently.
The BRS working president said his party will win 80 seats in the upcoming Assembly polls and will form the government for the third consecutive term.
He also slammed the Union government for creating obstacles on implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme and said the BRS party had asked the Election Commission twice to give permission for depositing money in the accounts of farmers, but in vain.
KT Rama Rao questioned why the obstacles are creating for the Rythu Bandhu while there is no restrictions for PM Kisan Samman.
He assured a degree college at Choutuppal, a 30-bed hospital at Choutuppal and to upgrade Munugode as a municipality if BRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy was voted to victory.
Explaining the BRS manifesto during his roadshow in Kodad, Rama Rao said the Soubhagya Lakshmi scheme, under which Rs.3,000 per month would be extended to eligible women above 18 years after December 3, while Aasara pensions would be enhanced to Rs.5,000. The Chenetha Mitra assistance too would be hiked to Rs.5,000 from the existing Rs.3,000. In addition to supplying fine rice, a Rs 5 lakh insurance coverage would be provided to ration card holders, he added. (PMI)
