Wave of Grief in Religious and Social Circles Over the Demise of Noted Ahl-e-Bait Orator Maulana Abu Qasim

Markazi Anjuman President Najaf Ali Shaukat Pays Tribute

Hyderabad, December 3 (PMI): A wave of sorrow has swept across Hyderabad, the city of devotion to Hazrat Ali (AS) and mourning of Imam Hussain (AS), following the demise of the renowned Ahl-e-Bait orator Maulana Abu Qasim. Deep grief is being expressed across religious, social, academic, and mourning organisations. The Shia community has termed his passing as a great religious and community loss.

President of the Marhazi Anjuman Matami Grohaan, Hyderabad, Mr. Najaf Ali Shaukat (Group Shida-e-Shabbir AS), paid glowing tribute to the lifelong selfless and dedicated services of the late Maulana. He said that the Shia community would never forget Maulana Abu Qasim’s invaluable contributions. He highlighted that Maulana’s simplicity, sincerity, and practical service were always evident during the days of mourning.

Recalling his unique qualities, he stated that whenever there was a shortage of respondents during marsiya recitation, Maulana Abu Qasim would himself sit down to give responses. At times, in the absence of a marsiya khwan, he would personally recite the marsiya and later perform zakiri from the pulpit. He remarked that rarely does one witness such versatility, humility, and spirit of service in any orator.

He further added that the late Maulana actively participated in seena-zani and would always remain seated on the floor of aza from the very beginning, reflecting his deep devotion and unwavering love for the martyr of Karbala, Imam Hussain (AS).

Najaf Ali Shaukat emphasized that the religious, preaching and scholarly services of Maulana Abu Qasim would always be remembered. Various mourning organisations and mourners also expressed profound grief, stating that his absence would be deeply felt in the coming mourning season.

The Shia community collectively prayed for the departed soul, seeking Allah’s mercy, elevation of his ranks, a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and patience for the bereaved family. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon.(pressmediaofindia.com)
