Warangal Youth Dies In Front Of Parents Following Bus Accident

Warangal: In a heart-rending incident, a 23-year-old youth was crushed to death in front of his parents. The incident occurred at Fathima Bridge in Warangal on Friday. The victim, who was identified as Vikram, was on his way to Palakurthi.
As he was on his two-wheeler, a city bus of Hanamkonda depot tried to overtake him. Vikram came under the rear wheels of the bus resulting in severe injuries. Bystanders and commuters gathered at the accident spot and called an ambulance.
Meanwhile, the victim’s parents Rama and Vanraj, who reside at Somidi near Kazipet, came to the spot on hearing the news. The mother’s wails and cries for help rented the air even as her son struggled for life. Eye-witnesses were were moved by the heart-rending scenes. Vikram died while being shifted to the hospital.
The incident led to traffic jam at Fathima bridge. The police registered a case against the RTC driver and launched an investigation.
